Language, region and notifications

The settings that decide which hunting seasons you see and which notifications reach you, all under Hunter › Settings.

Language and season region

  1. Open Hunter › Settings › Language & region.
  2. Tap Language and pick one of the app's 22 languages.
  3. Tap Region and pick the country whose hunting seasons you follow. The country you are in is marked.
  4. Where states or provinces set their own seasons, pick your Home area too, or keep the whole country.

Notifications

Under Notifications, each kind has its own switch:

  1. Season start and Season end: when a season opens, and before it closes, in the countries we send them for.
  2. Hunt reminders: before a hunt you scheduled.
  3. Document reminders: before a licence or inspection expires, at the times you set on each document.
  4. Sound: the sound HunTracker's notifications play.

Tip If Notifications are off appears, the phone itself blocks HunTracker. Tap Open settings and allow notifications there. The bell on the Home tab lists the last 30 days.

Appearance and privacy

Under Appearance, choose the Theme and whether the background artwork follows the season. Under Hunter › Privacy, decide on Crash reports, Product usage and Marketing messages; your hunts, photos and routes are never part of them.

Free and Pro

Season and hunt notifications are free. With Pro, season notifications name each species and sex, and you can choose the sound and get document reminders. Compare Free and Pro →

Questions and answers

Why do I get no season notifications?

Check that Season start and Season end are on, that the phone allows notifications for HunTracker, and that your Region is a country we send season notifications for.

Can I follow another country's seasons?

Yes. Change Region whenever you hunt abroad, and change it back afterwards.

Still stuck?

Write to us and say which phone and app version you use. A real hunter on the team answers, usually within a day.
