Notes
- Shot only within the approved game management plan for the hunting management area (lovsko upravljavsko območje); the decree sets the open seasons, not the numbers.
- In the decree a stag is a male in its third year or older; yearlings (second year) and calves (first year) have their own periods.
- Covers roe bucks from the second year onwards; yearling does and the young of both sexes have separate periods.
- Rams and yearlings of both sexes and lambs share one period; ewes have a shorter one. The RAM class covers rams and yearling males.
- Boars, yearlings and piglets may be hunted all year; sows only from 1 July to 31 January.
- Only farm-reared grey partridges are game in Slovenia.
- Traps are allowed for this species within the decree's trap rules (lift traps and cage traps; tree-fall traps only for martens).
- Stone and pine marten share the same period.
