Frequently asked questions
If I take Pro for a few months and then stop, will my data be there next season?
Yes. Your hunts, harvests and equipment stay in the app and are backed up to your account as text even without Pro. The photos, videos and GPS routes you backed up with Pro are kept in the cloud for 13 months after your subscription ends. We chose 13 months for exactly this reason: a hunter who pays for the season and pauses over the summer finds everything waiting when they subscribe again next year, and syncing simply picks up where it stopped.
What happens after the 13 months?
Only the photos, videos and GPS routes backed up while you had Pro are deleted from the cloud; your records stay in your account. Anything still on your phone is not touched, and if you subscribe again later, the photos and videos on your phone are uploaded again. We send an e-mail and show a notice in the app before anything is deleted.
Do I lose my hunts if I cancel Pro?
No. Cancelling only stops Pro at the end of the period you paid for. Everything you recorded stays in your journal, and the free version keeps working with no time limit and no ads.
I have a new phone. How do I get my hunts back?
Install HunTracker on the new phone and sign in with the same account. Your records come back from the cloud backup, which is free; with Pro your photos, videos and GPS routes come back too. If Pro does not show up, use Restore purchases on the Pro screen.
Can I use HunTracker on my computer?
Yes, with Pro, in the browser at web.huntracker.app. Sign in by scanning the code on the web page with the app: Hunter › Settings › Sign in on the web. Hunts are started on the phone, where the GPS is; the web app is for reading, editing, statistics and district maps on a big screen.
On how many devices can I use Pro?
On three phones or tablets at a time, and in the web app. You can free a slot for a new phone under Your devices.
Why is my GPS path missing parts?
Usually because the phone stopped the app in the background or location was set to approximate. Allow precise location, and on Android turn off battery optimisation for HunTracker. The GPS guide explains it step by step.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by the App Store or Google Play, so they are cancelled there. The quickest way is Manage subscription on the HunTracker Pro screen, which opens the right store page.
Is my location shared with anyone?
Only with the people in a shared hunt, and only while that hunt runs. Your journal, routes and spots are private unless you share a hunt.
How do I delete my account?
Open Hunter › Personal details and scroll to Delete account. This deletes your account and its cloud data for good; export your data first if you want a copy.
Still stuck?
