What the map and the path do
GPS path recording
Start Path when you set off and HunTracker records your route, with the distance covered, while the phone is in your pocket. Pause it, and the gap shows as a gap.
Every harvest on the map
Harvests and observations carry the spot they happened, as pins over your path, so a season later you can see exactly where.
Satellite and topo maps
Switch between satellite imagery and a topographic map, in 2D or 3D, with the wind drawn over the map.
Route replay
Play a saved path back to see how the day went, with the pauses marked and the direction of travel.
You choose what is recorded
The map and the path are independent: marking a spot never makes you record a route you did not want.
On the Lock Screen
On iPhone, a running hunt shows the elapsed time, the distance and the GPS signal on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
How it works
- Start a hunt and switch Path on.
- Put the phone away: the route keeps recording.
- Log harvests and observations where they happen.
- Afterwards, replay the route and see everything on the map.

Questions and answers
Does the hunting GPS work without mobile signal?
Yes. GPS positioning needs no mobile data, so the path keeps recording where there is no coverage, and syncs once you are back in range.
Who can see my routes and spots?
Only you, unless you share a hunt or its path with friends. Your paths are never part of crash reports or usage data.
Can I record a path on a driven hunt?
Yes. Path works on individual and driven hunts alike, and on a shared hunt everyone's position can show on one live map.
