Notes

  1. Austria: Provincial hunting laws (Landesjagdgesetze) may establish differing seasons and local closed periods.
  2. Czechia: Transitional measures and emergency measures under Decree 245/2002 Sb. § 2a take precedence.
  3. Finland: National baseline hunting seasons in Finland. Certain species and areas require specific permits or regional quotas.
  4. Germany: Federal hunting season. The 16 federal states (Bundesländer) may establish different or more restrictive seasons in their own regulations.
  5. Italy: National season framework under Art. 18 of Law 157/1992. Regions may restrict the season in their annual calendars.
  6. Norway: National seasons under the 2022–2028 regulation of Miljødirektoratet. County-level restrictions and quotas may apply.
  7. Poland: Hunting seasons under the Regulation of the Minister of the Environment of 2005 as amended.
  8. Romania: Seasons pursuant to Annex 1 of Hunting Law No. 407/2006. Harvests are subject to annual ministerial quotas and permits.
  9. Slovakia: National hunting seasons under Section 71 of Decree 344/2009 Z. z. Territorial restrictions may apply.
  10. Sweden: Swedish Hunting Ordinance (Jaktförordning). Regional variations by län (county) apply.
  11. Switzerland: Federal framework seasons under the Swiss Federal Hunting Act (JSG). The 26 cantons annual regulations take precedence.
  12. Turkey: Seasons under the 2026–2027 Central Hunting Commission (MAK) decision. Provincial bans and AVBİS quotas must be observed.
