Notes
- France: National framework (Code de l’environnement); each département’s prefectural order sets the actual dates. General opening shown for 2026–27 as the third Sunday of September; earlier in much of the south and in Corsica.
- France: Protected species; no open season.
- Germany: Federal hunting season. The 16 federal states (Bundesländer) may establish different or more restrictive seasons in their own regulations.
- Germany: Species with year-round closed season under federal law; no hunting season is open.
- Spain: Seasons are set by each autonomous community. Shown: Castilla y León’s permanent periods (Ley 4/2021, Annex II), dated for 2026–27; other communities’ annual orders (órdenes de vedas) differ.
- Spain: Protected species; no open season.
- United Kingdom: Protected species; no open season.
