Mountain hare hunting seasons
Mountain hare (Lepus timidus): the open season in every country HunTracker covers, by sex and age class.
Notes
- Finland: National baseline hunting seasons in Finland. Certain species and areas require specific permits or regional quotas.
- Italy: National season framework under Art. 18 of Law 157/1992. Regions may restrict the season in their annual calendars.
- Norway: National seasons under the 2022–2028 regulation of Miljødirektoratet. County-level restrictions and quotas may apply.
- Sweden: Swedish Hunting Ordinance (Jaktförordning). Regional variations by län (county) apply.
- Switzerland: Federal framework seasons under the Swiss Federal Hunting Act (JSG). The 26 cantons annual regulations take precedence.
